For $40, this really isn’t bad. I was concerned that the finish would be dull or scratchy and not look nice, but for the price I’m impressed. It seems to illuminate the room quite well and at the level of brightness that I want. The mounting wasn’t too bad, although the screw heads do not easily fit through the inner mounting holes. I ran into the same problem with another similar light that I purchased through Amazon, but returned due to it not having the right level of brightness. Other than that, this light seems great.

The light was extremely easy to install. There are only three wires. A positive, a negative, and a ground. Some of the other lights I was looking at required at least six or more wire connections. This was straightforward and the LEDs have a nice soft glow. Highly recommend for a novice installer.

Over the years, we have added more and more identically styled fixtures to our home, Each new fixture was externally identical to the others, but I was usually surprised to see the technology within it’s never changing outer carapace. Two of these fixtures utilized GX23 CFL bulbs, three generated light via long, thin, GX24q CFL bulbs and one shone beautifully using a T9 Circline fluorescent ‘bulb’. Our new addition, the subject of this review, apparently has no name, just specs. It is hands down the best of the bunch. It puts out bright, evenly distributed light, uses less power than any of the others, and is easily installed. Trully, it is quite a beauty.I’ve changed numerous CFL and T9 lamps on its’ predecessors and hope to never have to do so again, at least once they are all changed out. And by the way, the plastic cover, the six support/decrotive nuts/brackets and the rings can force a homeowner to have to develop juggling skills. I’ve finally discovered that taping the plastic and the metal ring together, just the way they will hang when finished, makes the job amazingly easy. I’ve attached a photo of the taped assembly to my review. This 12th ?incarnation of a very popular ceiling fixture is less expensive, performs better and is just as attractive as any of it’s previous versions. What a nice purchase. Tongue in cheek, I’ll say that this led fixture really brightens my days.

Easy to install. Looks more expensive than it is. I have a very similar one in another room that was more than twice the price. I installed two in my basement rec room with a dimmer and they provide great light; much better than the florescent tubes they replaced. The color is nice and warm not super white like lots of LEDs. The white cover is plastic but looks like frosted glass. I could not be happier.

I never knew lights could be so beautiful! I bought two of these for my hallway and master closet/laundry area. My daughter swapped out the existing lighting and installed these for me yesterday. I was skeptical about buying them online without seeing how bright and warm the light was but it was a great choice. The lighting is bright and warm but not too warm and definitely easy on the eyes. The installation was super easy and fast – no electrician needed if replacing existing lighting. I wish there was a 19” version of the same thing for my kitchen. If you’re on the fence about choosing lighting, I highly recommend these lights. I will buy them again for any future properties I own.

This fixtures gives very bright clear light and is fully dimmable. However, it is poorly designed & cheaply made. First, the heads of the screws to attach the mounting plate to the junction box were too large to fit the slot openings on the mounting plate and had to be forced on with some effort. The lamp shade is held on with three nuts that are very hard to line up and screw in (especially when standing on a stool working overhead. The metal rim that holds the shade on is flimsy and has a sharp edge.

I don’t know if it is the fault of the dimmer switch or the light, but I bought and installed a dimmer switch that is listed as compatible (Leviton 6674), but the dimmer barely works. When I first installed it, it seemed to dim more, but now it goes from bright to only slightly less bright. I asked both this seller and Leviton, and got no good response from them, so not great customer support either.On the upside, I think this is a good value, it looks nice, and I put it in a rental unit where the renters say they don’t really care about it not dimming all the way, so I guess I’m keeping it …

I’d been thinking of replacing my old kitchen light for a long time & was initially looking for a 48″ long LED fixture. I liked the look of this one online & the price was reasonable so I just hoped it wasn’t too cheap looking or dim person.Installation was a snap & it looks great, to my eye. It screwed into the standard electrical box without having to drill any new holes. I think a few folks mentioned that it didn’t match theirs. My house is only 20 years old so maybe theirs were a lot older to have non-standard electrical boxes.I’m happy with the brightness, which was a concern since I like a bright light in the kitchen. I installed a dimmer too & found that I don’t use it. Later I went ahead & bought the 10″ version for a hallway but haven’t installed that one yet.

This light is attractive and very bright. Wiring is simple, but getting the fixture put together on the ceiling is a nightmare. The 3 posts that hold the fixture together are seperate pieces, so they swivel when you try to aligin the posts with the holes to screw everything together. The posts are threaded on both sides, so if they come apart, there is no way to get to the top screw to put it back together because the fixture is now mounted to the ceiling. I had one seprarate and I had to hold the screw in place with a knife blade to screw the post back on. Instead of all these little pieces, the post should be fixed with a threaed male end and acorn nuts to hold it all together. I know that’s not going to happen, but it should. The only way I would buy another one is if I had help installing it. It takes four hands to get it done quickly.

…and that’s the worst thing I have to say about this light fixture.And I spray-painted the nickel rings to match everything else in my living room, so even that was surmountable.I’ve lived in this house for ages with those super-ugly light fixtures with the “decorative” glass square. A couple of weeks ago I had to clean the bugs out of them YET AGAIN and that was when I had enough. Figured there’s got to be light fixtures that are flush to the ceiling. And hey, ones with built-in LEDs? Even better!I got this guy, and a smaller one for the kitchen.My house is not new, and the person who owned it before me looooved DIY, and was really, really bad at it.Despite that, this fixture fit seamlessly into the pre-existing junction box and wiring was super simple.As an added bonus, the fixture I had before was not really usable. It was either too bright or… well, too bright. Now I’m not sure if it’s this fixture or the fact that I took the opportunity to replace the dimmer switch with a non-ugly one, but when this thing’s on the lowest dimmer setting, despite being within my field of vision, it is still very, very usable. It’s a little higher up and the LEDs are all shining downwards (and being diffused), too, so it doesn’t even shine off the TV!

I already had the 15″ version of these lights in my office and bedroom. They’ve been working well and are easy to install. I just installed two of the 12″ version in my sun room and they are working well so far also.They dim well with Lutron or Leviton LED rated light dimmers, no flicker or buzzing. Purchased these to replace circline fluorescents in the main hallway of the church building. They were the same diameter, but unlike the fluorescents. The circline tubes were going out too frequently and were too expensive to continue replacing–and there were no available LED replacements to fit those fixtures. Replacing the fixtures themselves was expensive, but we don’t expect to need to do anything to them now many years, they put out better light than the fluorescents, the take far less electricity, and they’re even dimmable. (And we had a left-over LED dimmer from a project in the sanctuary that worked fine.)

so prior fixture was non dimmable switched to this one in hopes it would work, well it does….. but only on high or low, but flickers around middle area of my slider, not sure if its my switches calibration or fixture but good enough for the moment as long as it dose not flicker on high or low .

Excellent lighting fixture for kitchens. We actually installed this in my kitchen and in my vaulted dining room. The streamline design fits well with different cabinet designs and avoid collecting dust. Because of disabilities we were unable to change lights in our old fixtures; this eliminates changing lightbulbs frequently. We chose the daylight option but the yellow might be better in living areas other than the kitchen. We had an electrician install it and he had it installed in minutes.

My house is only 20 years old so maybe theirs were a lot older to have non-standard electrical boxes.I’m happy with the brightness, which was a concern since I like a bright light in the kitchen. I installed a dimmer too & found that I don’t use it. Later I went ahead & bought the 10″ version for a hallway but haven’t installed that one yet.

I ordered 2 of this for my small kitchen. It is so beautiful. I love the design; it looks great on the ceiling. The size is perfect. I was thinking of 12″, but I know now that this 15″ is a lot better when it’s up on the ceiling.

…and that’s the worst thing I have to say about this light fixture.And I spray-painted the nickel rings to match everything else in my living room, so even that was surmountable.I’ve lived in this house for ages with those super-ugly light fixtures with the “decorative” glass square. A couple of weeks ago I had to clean the bugs out of them YET AGAIN and that was when I had enough. Figured there’s got to be light fixtures that are flush to the ceiling. And hey, ones with built-in LEDs? Even better!I got this guy, and a smaller one for the kitchen.My house is not new, and the person who owned it before me looooved DIY, and was really, really bad at it.Despite that, this fixture fit seamlessly into the pre-existing junction box and wiring was super simple.As an added bonus, the fixture I had before was not really usable. It was either too bright or… well, too bright. Now I’m not sure if it’s this fixture or the fact that I took the opportunity to replace the dimmer switch with a non-ugly one, but when this thing’s on the lowest dimmer setting, despite being within my field of vision, it is still very, very usable. It’s a little higher up and the LEDs are all shining downwards (and being diffused), too, so it doesn’t even shine off the TV!

We adapted this to our bedroom ceiling fan…no dimmer switch. Just on/off. Adds beauty to the room and the lighting is vibrant. We love it!!

The light came exactly as described. I’ve been searching for a natural white LED fixture to use throughout the whole house. I was hoping the light would be a little more geared toward the 3500k, but it was dead on in my eyes at the 4000k. Unfortunately this was a little too blue for my taste, and I had to return, so my quest to find the perfect fixture continues.

Finally! A true 2700K warm light that’s bright enough to light up a modest size room. Love it! I used it in my 90sq’ laundry room and it lights up the whole room nicely, but not too bright that it’s blinding. This one is just right and I’ve been using it for a few months without any issues. Would definitely buy it again.

Added light in kitchen. Very happy with light that it puts out. Looked at simlar lights in retail stores and this light was much cheaper
