Excellent lighting fixture for kitchens. We actually installed this in my kitchen and in my vaulted dining room. The streamline design fits well with different cabinet designs and avoid collecting dust. Because of disabilities we were unable to change lights in our old fixtures; this eliminates changing lightbulbs frequently. We chose the daylight option but the yellow might be better in living areas other than the kitchen. We had an electrician install it and he had it installed in minutes.

This fixtures gives very bright clear light and is fully dimmable. However, it is poorly designed & cheaply made. First, the heads of the screws to attach the mounting plate to the junction box were too large to fit the slot openings on the mounting plate and had to be forced on with some effort. The lamp shade is held on with three nuts that are very hard to line up and screw in (especially when standing on a stool working overhead. The metal rim that holds the shade on is flimsy and has a sharp edge.

I already had the 15″ version of these lights in my office and bedroom. They’ve been working well and are easy to install. I just installed two of the 12″ version in my sun room and they are working well so far also.They dim well with Lutron or Leviton LED rated light dimmers, no flicker or buzzing. The light was extremely easy to install. There are only three wires. A positive, a negative, and a ground. Some of the other lights I was looking at required at least six or more wire connections. This was straightforward and the LEDs have a nice soft glow. Highly recommend for a novice installer.

Our new addition, the subject of this review, apparently has no name, just specs. It is hands down the best of the bunch. Trully, it is quite a beauty.I’ve changed numerous CFL and T9 lamps on its’ predecessors and hope to never have to do so again, at least once they are all changed out. I’ve finally discovered that taping the plastic and the metal ring together, just the way they will hang when finished, makes the job amazingly easy. I’ve attached a photo of the taped assembly to my review. This 12th ?incarnation of a very popular ceiling fixture is less expensive, performs better and is just as attractive as any of it’s previous versions. What a nice purchase. Tongue in cheek, I’ll say that this led fixture really brightens my days.

All in all this is a great light especially for the money. I am interested in seeing how it holds up in the long run, but a few months in and it has worked great. So, why the but…? The plastic on the light seems extremely cheap, it doesn’t look that way, but I imagine the slightest tap may result in a crack. How often are you touching your light fixtures though? The only other issue I have noticed, which again for me isn’t really a concern; even when the light is off there is a very faint amount of light still. It is dim, even less bright than a nightlight, but it is there. I would buy the light again if it continues to perform the way it has.

The 3 posts that hold the fixture together are seperate pieces, so they swivel when you try to aligin the posts with the holes to screw everything together. The posts are threaded on both sides, so if they come apart, there is no way to get to the top screw to put it back together because the fixture is now mounted to the ceiling. I had one seprarate and I had to hold the screw in place with a knife blade to screw the post back on. Instead of all these little pieces, the post should be fixed with a threaed male end and acorn nuts to hold it all together. I know that’s not going to happen, but it should. The only way I would buy another one is if I had help installing it. It takes four hands to get it done quickly.

I liked the look of this one online & the price was reasonable so I just hoped it wasn’t too cheap looking or dim person.Installation was a snap & it looks great, to my eye. It screwed into the standard electrical box without having to drill any new holes. I think a few folks mentioned that it didn’t match theirs. My house is only 20 years old so maybe theirs were a lot older to have non-standard electrical boxes.I’m happy with the brightness, which was a concern since I like a bright light in the kitchen. I installed a dimmer too & found that I don’t use it. Later I went ahead & bought the 10″ version for a hallway but haven’t installed that one yet.

Once installed, looks fine. However, we received one unit that was mislabeled (it was 4000K color rather than 2700K). After seller resolve that issue, upon insallation we found the metal frame on one was bent. As it is so thin, I was able to tweak it back to shape. These are pretty lightweight fixtures. We have them on a Lutron dimmer as listed in the supported ones, and we get “buzzing” when they are less than 100%. It’s not too bad for my old ears, but I think my kids hear it more than I do. The packaging included all the wire twist caps needed as well as screws if you needed new ones for your fixture box.

The most important thing about this light fixture is that it is really bright. I placed it at the bottom of the basement stairs so I can see to descend the stairs safely. The fixture also looks great. I could wish that the two included mounting screws were 1/4 inch longer. Attach a string to each screw then thread the strings through the two mounting holes in the fixture. Now you can move the fixture up the strings and easily align with the two screws.

Purchased these to replace circline fluorescents in the main hallway of the church building. They were the same diameter, but unlike the fluorescents. The circline tubes were going out too frequently and were too expensive to continue replacing–and there were no available LED replacements to fit those fixtures. Replacing the fixtures themselves was expensive, but we don’t expect to need to do anything to them now many years, they put out better light than the fluorescents, the take far less electricity, and they’re even dimmable. (And we had a left-over LED dimmer from a project in the sanctuary that worked fine.)

Gives a large amount of light and this is caused by dozens of small LEDs mounted on the back plate. I would buy this again.

I never knew lights could be so beautiful! I bought two of these for my hallway and master closet/laundry area. My daughter swapped out the existing lighting and installed these for me yesterday. I was skeptical about buying them online without seeing how bright and warm the light was but it was a great choice. The lighting is bright and warm but not too warm and definitely easy on the eyes. The installation was super easy and fast – no electrician needed if replacing existing lighting. I wish there was a 19” version of the same thing for my kitchen. If you’re on the fence about choosing lighting, I highly recommend these lights. I will buy them again for any future properties I own.

For $40, this really isn’t bad. I was concerned that the finish would be dull or scratchy and not look nice, but for the price I’m impressed. It seems to illuminate the room quite well and at the level of brightness that I want. The mounting wasn’t too bad, although the screw heads do not easily fit through the inner mounting holes. I ran into the same problem with another similar light that I purchased through Amazon, but returned due to it not having the right level of brightness. Other than that, this light seems great.

I have two of these lamps in our kitchen where they have worked great. However, one unit began to not be able to turn on in the morning unless I flipped the switch up and down several times. Eventually, the unit died and could not turn on. I suspect that it is the transformer that has failed. I’m disappointed that this light only lasted three years and should not have failed. I would appreciate contact from the company for a replacement. I should not have to waste my time writing this post. Thank you.

Pretty fair value for this. Install is pretty basic as long as you know which are the hot and neutral wires that you’re connecting to.

what I disliked was the way the globe attached or really what it attached with I have big hands and the 3 little fasteners are so TINY and so smooth/slick I couldnt even feel if they were turning and couldn’t hold on to them for more than .05 seconds. Other than that being so annoying I liked the fixture and color of the lighting for the price I am glad I bought it just wished I had tiny hands to install it 🙂

It is certainly very bright so very suitable for using with a dimmer switch.A tip when putting it up, the small threaded ends that secure the cover a difficult to handle, I added a bit of blue painters tape around them to make it easier to install them, then removed when tightened.

I’m still amazed at how bright this light is in our kitchen. It has really lit up every part of the kitchen that our old halogen fixture just couldn’t even come close to doing. I love it so much, I’m buying one for our family room and hope to replace all the bedroom ceiling lights eventually with this one as we can.*Update 11/9/2019 – We ended up buying 2 more of these lights and about to the 4th light to replace all our ceiling lights. I opted on buying the “warm white” for my children’s room, its still nice and bright but more relaxing. We use the “natural white” ones in the kitchen and homeschool room because they seem to boost energy and are good for work and reading; from what I read about the different types of light. Our electric usage has decreased thanks to these LED lights!

Packaging was a bit anemic, it arrived with a dent in the rim, but I was able to straighten it out enough so it wasn’t obvious. The light is bright and looks nice.

Easy to install. Looks more expensive than it is. I have a very similar one in another room that was more than twice the price. I installed two in my basement rec room with a dimmer and they provide great light; much better than the florescent tubes they replaced. The color is nice and warm not super white like lots of LEDs. The white cover is plastic but looks like frosted glass. I could not be happier.

A couple of weeks ago I had to clean the bugs out of them YET AGAIN and that was when I had enough. Figured there’s got to be light fixtures that are flush to the ceiling. And hey, ones with built-in LEDs? Even better!I got this guy, and a smaller one for the kitchen.My house is not new, and the person who owned it before me looooved DIY, and was really, really bad at it.Despite that, this fixture fit seamlessly into the pre-existing junction box and wiring was super simple.As an added bonus, the fixture I had before was not really usable. It was either too bright or… well, too bright. Now I’m not sure if it’s this fixture or the fact that I took the opportunity to replace the dimmer switch with a non-ugly one, but when this thing’s on the lowest dimmer setting, despite being within my field of vision, it is still very, very usable. It’s a little higher up and the LEDs are all shining downwards (and being diffused), too, so it doesn’t even shine off the TV!

Great value for the money. Very elegant look and style. Works with dimmers. Installed 12 of them at our house, replacing older incandescent fixtures. The device could have been designed for simpler installation but overall I am happy with the product and recommend it to others.

I like this light. Its definitely unique in the sense that it doesn’t have bulbs. It has many small LED lights inside which makes an even and consistent light output all the way around the light this in turn makes for a well lit kitchen
the light is bright like day light and makes it easy to see receipes when you are cooking. I will be looking at replacing hallway lights next with a smaller version of this.

Stay away from this cheap Chinese junk. I bought it thinking it cost just enough to hit the value sweet spot but very disappointed. It’s immediately evident as soon as you take it out how cheaply it’s made with the fit and finish, the white dome is squishy plastic, not rigid as it seems in pic and the metal seems like tin foil. I thought, oh well, it will be far up maybe you can’t see it too well, so I installed it but the functionality is just as bad. When it’s actually on full blast it is actually bright with a decent light, but the LED controller obviously is substandard as it often flickers and even buzzes with strange sounds sometimes. It is advertised as dimmable, but even paired with a high quality Leviton dimmer it is NOT. It does sorta change intensity just but it’s super inconsistent and only the last 1/5 or so of the dimmer even starts to turn it on, and then it won’t turn back to full intensity unless you do this weird all the way up then all the way down twice thing. I sent it back and went down the street to the Orange big box and bought a similar light for only marginally more (maybe $15) and it’s much better made and actual WORKS, no buzzing or flickering and dims great.

I bought this light and installed it for my 2 bedrooms and home office. The brightness (4000K) was perfect for my needs and I paired all 3 of them with a lutron dimmer. When the fixture is at a dimmer level, there is a slight buzzing noise but it is not noticeable unless you really pay attention to it. During the installation process, it would have been easier to install if the screws that came with the light were longer, but I still managed to install the light fixtures.

I needed a lens/diffuser for my bathroom Sola-Tube skylight. I removed the backplane containing the transformer and LED’s and mounted the rest to the ceiling over the light shaft. Works great and at half the cost of a replacement lens if you can find one. I can now mount the LED’s around the edge of the tube and remotely locate the transformer for a light fixture/ skylight combo.

I was a little skeptical when we received this light because it was plastic. Once installed, you could never tell the materials which compose this light. My husband accidentally purchased two and we liked the first one so much that we installed the second one in the dining room at his mother’s house. Definitely a great purchase.
